Bruce Herrera and Emmanuel McClain The Sixteenth Note is a social networking website for writers, poets, and musicians to band together and get their ideas out there. We will provide services on our website such as live streaming, and a GarageBand- like program built into the website. We will also have artists (that are members) featured on our homepage every day, week, month or year. We realize that this school is full of musicians and writers and we want to fulfill their needs. This is essentially the same thing as Business Space but directed towards a different audience. Our goal is to provide a place where people can express themselves, network with others, and spread ideas. Our potential customers will be teenage musicians, writers, artists and poets that don%u2019t have a way or know how to get there ideas out and just want to express themselves. Our main competitors will be Audition Booth, American Idol, MySpace Music and Youtube. Our company will be specialized for artists ONLY. We will also try to become partners with suppliers of musical equipment, art supplies, and publishers so our users can receive more services and discounts. The Sixteenth note will be a general partnership because we both greatly contributed to the development of the idea. Our legal concerns would most likely be that people will try to steal the ideas of others. So we will try to create a system to prevent that. The company will be directed and managed by Manny and I. We will most likely start out with friends as employees and later hire people we network with. Manny works at an ice cream shop and has done grip work for video shoots. I have no work experience. We are both currently juniors, and participate in the CSTEP Program at FordhamUniversity. I am a musician and an artist whereas; Manny writes poetry and has a love for music. We will be an internet based business that will most likely be run from our homes. We will start with 2-10 employees. We need a graphic designer to make our website. We will most likely gain the money for finances through donations and loans. We are not exactly sure what our expenses or revenue will be at the moment.
