I like this idea, Nikolas! The Occupy movement is using meetup.com to start new hubs (http://www.meetup.com/occupytogether) -- though there's no voting/feedback mechanism for different causes.

I see merit in this idea... in general, I think Apple hasn't done a great job with the Camera app on their mobile devices. Leaves a lot to be desired.
